Do you offer free estimates?

Yes, estimates come at zero cost! They are definitely free. Most property owners are afraid to begin fence installation or other construction services for the matter because of the price that it may incur. However, we at The Rockford Fence Company, we want to give everyone the chance to see and experience how good our products and services are. How soon can you install my fence?

No matter how much we want to give you the exact waiting time as early as now, we can’t. There are numerous factors that we need to consider for the installation, and the most essential of which is the fence production. On average, it takes 5 weeks to produce a fence. However, on special instances, such as customized design or larger than the average size, the manufacturing might take even longer than 5 weeks. If you are not fond of long waiting time, we suggest placing your orders ahead of time to ensure that the products arrive on your expected time.

How long will my fence installation take?

Typically, the fence installation only takes 2 to 3 working days for average size fences. But we do actually take up an entire week if we also include the days when there is no labor work. These days are intended to allow the curing of cement. On perfect circumstances when there is no holiday or unlikely weather, we schedule to install the fences within 1 week. However, we ask our clients to allow 2 weeks at least, to allow buffer time in case of unexpected delays.  We have a very efficient manpower who can work on the installation of your fences in a short time.

Will you obtain a fence permit for my project?

Of course, we can acquire fence permit for your fence installation. But even when we can get the permits for you, we still seek your assistance in providing the following documents to facilitate the processing of your permits.

To process your permits early, it would be best to send the requirements as soon as possible.

Are There Legal Restrictions on My Fence?

It depends on your location. Typically, legal restrictions are implemented on a local level. Some restrictions include the material, design, and height of the fence. If you have properties where there are ordinances such as these are in place, we encourage you to consult about the fences prior to installation to avoid delays and conflicts. It would be best to consult with your local authorities to verify if restrictions in your area exist.

Do I Need to Consult My Neighbors?

Although it is not obligatory to consult your neighbors about your fences, we encourage our clients to inform the neighbors of their plan. It is being courteous towards your neighbor. And since you live next doors, somehow, the installation can be bothersome for them. If you do not notify them of your plans, you might hear them complain and you are likely to get into conflict. However, if they know ahead of time of what is to happen, they can prepare early, and they can adjust as needed.  Aside from that, some neighbors are generous enough to contribute to the expenses.

How Deep Should My Fence Posts Be?

The depth of the fence posts is not fixed across different fences. It is dependent on how tall your fences are. To determine the depth of the fence posts, it is necessary to know the precise measurements of your fence. To give you an idea, fences with average height, it is normally 3 to 4 feet deep. So, if you have fences which are taller than usual, about 7 feet or higher, you will need fence posts which are deeper than 4 feet. It is also important to make allowance when digging for fence posts to allow space for the concrete.

Should the Fence Touch the Ground?

We don’t recommend for ordinary fences to touch the ground. We find it risky to do so, since constant contact with the ground may damage the fences due to the presence of moisture. Dampness is not ideal for fences especially for those made of metal material since it may cause it to rust. We all know that rust can damage materials and in case the damage is irreparable, it may require replacement,. However, if you need fences which are touching the ground, there are special fences that can work for this purpose. Does the Weather Affect the Installation?

How Long Will the Fence Last?

It is ideal for fences to last up to 10 years or longer. This longevity is possible when you are using high quality materials from trusted fence companies.
